The set lays out four places with a dinner plate and a bowl at each, and a salad plate beside. For a weeknight meal or a Sunday dinner, it covers the table. The bowls are deep enough for soup or a grain bowl, and the plates have a wide rim to carry comfortably.

The stoneware is fired until dense. It sits solid in the hand and holds the heat of the food. Dishwasher and microwave safe, so nothing fussy about the cleanup. But it chips at the rim if knocked, and the pale clay shows. That is the trade-off for a material fired hard enough to last.
