Tuesday night spaghetti, Sunday morning pancakes. The dinner plates hold a proper serving and a side, the salad plates a roll and a few olives, the bowls enough soup to call it a meal. What the set asks of you: a little care around the rims, because stoneware chips where it meets a sink or another plate, and the chip shows pale clay. The foot ring is left bare, so it leaves a pale ring on a glazed plate stacked under it. Two high is the sensible limit.
