Four espresso cups, four saucers, and six soy sauce dishes come in the box. That serves four people with two dipping bowls each, or one for soy and one for sauce. The stoneware is heavy in the hand and holds the coffee hot. The saucers are deep enough to catch drips, and the cups are sized for a single shot.

The double reactive glaze makes each piece look different from the next. Even two cups from the same glaze will show distinct pools and streaks. If one breaks, a replacement will not match. That is part of the finish, not a flaw. The set carries its variation from the start, and a broken piece leaves a visible gap.
