The 14.3-inch length of this oval platter decides what it holds. A whole fish, a roast, a layered lasagna can sit with room for a garnish. The 12.9-inch width keeps the footprint reasonable on the table. The stoneware body is dense and heavy, so the platter stays put when you set it down.

The unglazed foot ring grips a tablecloth but will mark a glazed plate stacked beneath it. Limit stacking to two. The pack says the platter is dishwasher and microwave safe, so it can handle everyday use and reheating.
