Star 7.5" Pasta Bowls Set: the description

Bigger than a cereal bowl, smaller than a dinner plate, this bowl sits at the right size for a full portion of pasta or a substantial salad. It holds enough to be a main course without overwhelming the table. The rim is wide enough to rest a fork on, and the bowl is shallow enough that you can see what you are eating.

The stoneware is heavy in the hand, dense and quiet when you set it down. It comes six to a set, so the whole table eats from the same piece. Dishwasher and microwave safe, the pack says, so it works for a Tuesday as easily as for a Sunday. The only thing to watch is the rim: it chips if you knock it, and the chip shows pale clay.
