Mercury 24-Piece Stoneware Plates and Bowls: the description

The Mercury set uses a matte glaze that settles differently on each piece. Some surfaces show a deeper color where the glaze gathers, others a paler tone near the rim. The finish is soft to the touch and catches light without glare. Twenty-four pieces set eight places: dinner plates, salad plates, and bowls that hold a generous portion.

The bowls are wide and low, good for pasta or a salad that needs room to toss. The plates have a rim that holds them comfortably in the hand. They stack neatly, two high, without wobbling.
