Milkyway 16-Piece Stoneware Plates and Bowls, Light Gray: the description
Coupe plates with no rim to crowd the surface, just a gentle rise from the base. The bowls are wide and low, made for pasta, salad, or soup. Both sit flat on the table and stack neatly when empty. The plates are wide, the bowls deep enough for cereal or broth.
The trade-off is weight and stacking. Stoneware is dense, and a plate in the hand tells you so. Stack them more than two high and the foot ring will mark the glaze of the piece below. That mark is permanent. A rim chip, when it happens, shows pale clay against the gray.
