Ocean Ceramic Soy Sauce Dish, 6-piece: the description

Set one in your palm. It is heavier than it looks, because the stoneware is fired dense and does not soak up a drop of soy. That weight keeps it from sliding across the table when you dip. Six of them come in the box, each a small, solid vessel for a few tablespoons of soy or vinegar.

The foot ring is unglazed, so it will mark a polished table or the glaze of the dish below it if you stack two. You lift the dish, not slide it. And if you stack them, you accept that the bottom dish will show a ring. That is the trade-off: the piece grips the table, but it asks for a little care in handling.
