At 8.1 inches across, the bowl spans two open hands, and the low wide shape means a full portion of pasta sits without the sauce climbing the sides. Four of them set a table for four people, each bowl holding a serving without crowding the place settings.

The stoneware body has heft, so the bowl stays put on the table as you eat. Dishwasher and microwave use is fine, the pack says, and the honest limit is the rim: knock it against porcelain and it will chip, pale clay showing at the edge. That is the trade for a bowl this dense.
