These plates are microwave and dishwasher safe, as marked on the pack. No oven use. They go from a quick reheat straight to the table. At 8 inches across, they hold a side salad or a slice of pie with room to spare.

The unglazed foot ring leaves a pale ring on the plate below when stacked more than two. Two high is the practical limit. The rim is hard but brittle: a knock against a hard edge will chip it, exposing the pale clay beneath. The dishwasher cycle is safe, but hand washing lets you spot any chips early.
