Three oval serving platters come in the box. They are stoneware, from the Star collection, and they hold enough for a dinner for four. You set them on the table with a roast, vegetables, or use them to lay out appetizers before the meal. They sit low and flat, so they do not crowd the plates.

They go from counter to microwave for reheating, and the dishwasher cycle cleans them well. Stack them two high in the cupboard; going higher marks the piece below. The stoneware holds heat, so food stays warm through a long meal. Three platters give you room for a roast, vegetables, and bread.
